Teenage boy Roy and his ailing mother Elizabeth live an aimless life on the road, shuttling between gas stations, temp jobs and cheap motels. When they end up at a desolate caravan park, fractures begin to appear in Roy's relationship with his mother as he starts to fall head over heels for park manager Maurice.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Jonathan Wald is a filmmaker, theatre director, and teacher. His films have screened at 160 festivals; won numerous awards; aired on the Sundance and Moviola Channels; and featured on DVD collections. As co‐founder of shoottheplayer.com, he directed, shot, and edited 50 single-take clips of musicians such as Sarah Blasko, Amanda Palmer and Reggie Watts. Jonathan is also a script and picture editor, having shepherded the creation of more than 500 films. He has directed 20 plays, receiving many critics’ picks and a Sydney Theatre Award nomination, and is a passionate educator, teaching filmmaking at the International Screen Academy, AFTRS, NIDA, UCLA, Metro Screen, and the International Film School Sydney (IFSS, now AFTT), where he was also Head of Film.
