Mino is the gatekeeper at a secluded village cemetery, where he lovingly takes care of the dead, the mourners who occasionally stop by, and a giant spider. When the eccentric Maya appears, the pair are drawn to one another by the ghost of a man they once loved. 'Anapidae (Call Me)' is a deeply heartfelt ode to a love that could not be consummated... and spiders.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Mathieu Morel grew up in Ecrosnes, France, where he created the Rabbit Hole collective as a teenager where he made his first short films. In 2018, he entered the Femis school (La Résidence) where he directed 'Aussi fort que tu peux' 'As Hard As You Can'). He then directed 'La Belle et la bête' ('Beauty and the Beast') and 'The Deep Queer Massacre'. His other short films include 'Night of the Living Sluts' and 'Cum in My Heart' . 'Anapidae (Call Me)' is his first medium-length film.
