ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Maïté Sonnet directed her first short film, 'Massacre', which was selected in around thirty film festivals in 2019, including at Clermont Ferrand, and it went on to be nominated for the Césars for Best Short Film. 'Burial of Life as a Young Girl' is her second short film and premiered at Cannes' Directors Fortnight. She is currently working on writing a feature film. She is also a screenwriter and wrote 'Filles du feu' (Girls of Fire), a series about witch hunts for France TV.
