ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Alecio Araci is a filmmaker living and working on the west coast of Sweden. He has a background in the DIY and underground industry and over the past fifteen years has worked on many low and high budget projects. Between 2015 and 2018, he trained on the bachelor's program in film directing at Valand Academy in Gothenburg and has since continued his creative work both in front of and behind the camera. His short film Chavo won the award for best short film at Ake Dikhea? International Festival of Romani film in 2023. With this film he wants to open up a discussion about identity, sexuality, origins and the burden that can arise when these parameters are not compatible with each other.
