Yasmine is a twenty-two-year-old Franco-Maghreb woman who moved away from home to be able to live her life. Her love for N’dé, a thirty-something black African woman, is a secret she keeps from her family. For Eid, she visits them for a few days, whereupon her strained relationships with her mother, sister and father are all put to the test, with wildly different results.

Elhachmia Didi-Alaoui entered the world of cinema by filming her family. From this first gesture was born a short film, 'Halal', a small summary of a heated dialogue between a mother and her daughter about marriage. This was followed by the short film 'Kedeba', about a young girl pondering a question asked by her teacher. 'Daughter of Sin' is her thrid short film. Between making films, Elhachmia leads image education workshops across various schools and associations.
