ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
In 1983 Benjamin Teske was born in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. There he grew up with a father who was crazy about Bruce Lee movies and Westerns. He studied audiovisual media at the Beuth University of Technology, making the short films 'Try a Little Tenderness' and 'Rummel'. He then studied directing at the Hamburg Media School, where he made the short films 'Nachtbus' and 'Standstill'. All of his films have been shown successfully at film festivals around the world, with 'Escaping Gravity' winning the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award for best short film. His debut feature film, 'Strawberry Bubblegums' sees 17-year-old Lucy discovering that her birth was the product of an 'accident' on the set of a porn film.
