During Julian's studies he made the films MÄANDER and HEDON. The short documentary 'The Void Inside' deals with illegal organ trafficking in Iran and is currently showing successfully at festivals worldwide. 'Linger On' is Julian's fictional graduation film and deals with emotional abuse in a daughter-mother relationship. The core of his works is often about bodies as carriers of trauma as well as their empowering potential in the context of queer sexuality. He is interested in the tension between conscious and unconscious loss of control. Julian is developing his first feature film, about two brothers sharing a life as sex workers.
