Aitor Gametxo was born in Lekeitio in 1989. He directs, writes and develops a wide variety of personal works that combine traditional narratives and formal experimentation. He is the author of, among others, Irudi mintzatuen hiztegi poetikoa (2013, co-directed with Maria Elorza and Maider Fernández Iriarte), El otro mapa de Abauntz (2015, made for the X-Films section of the Punto de Vista festival), Distantziak (2015, co-directed with Jesus M. Palacios, Maddi Barber and Cris Ezquerra for ZINEBI), Cicha Symfonia (2017) and Hemen. Gaur. Berriz (2020).
