ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Miwako Van Weyenberg is a Belgian director and screenwriter. She was born and raised in Brussels, spending her summers with family in Tokyo. As a child, Miwako was drawn to the audiovisual world through Japanese tv commercials. After experimenting with an old camcorder, she soon developed a passion for fiction film. With her first short 'Hitorikko', Miwako won the VAF Wildcard 2014, the biggest short film award in Belgium. Her latest short 'Summer Rain' premiered at the Leuven International Short Film Festival. Currently, Miwako is writing her first feature film 'Feuilles Tendres'.
