Maria is a partner at Novelo Filmes, an audiovisual content agency based in Florianópolis, Brazil. She is the writer of the short films 'Make do with what' (Rio International Short Film Festival), 'Golden Arrow Wrestling Club' (São Paulo International Short Film Festival) and the TV show 'Johnny Fever' (winner of the FSA development award), and the feature film 'The Duty' in coproduction with Haddock Films. She also has a Master and a Doctorate degree in Literature. 'Apenas' is her directorial debut.
