Between bouts of football with the boys and aimlessly treading the canal-side paths of Venice, young Carla dreams of becoming a gondolier like her father. However, as it is a famously male-dominated profession, she assumes that her chances of becoming one are slim. That is until she meets Natalia.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Abbé Robinson studied Film Production at the International Film School in Newport, Wales, and has worked as an Assistant Director in Film and TV for over 20 years. She has been commissioned twice as a Writer / Director by UK Film Council and Screen Yorkshire, while her 1950's period drama 'Private Life', played at over 150 film festivals and won 21 awards. Abbé is Artistic Director and Producer of annual light and arts festival Light Night Leeds. She has several short and feature projects in development.
