ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Dominik Gyӧrgy, (also credited under the pseudonym Domo GyGy), is a film director, screenwriter and actor from the Slovak town of Veľký Krtíš. When he was nine, he used his parent's video camera to make his first amateur film: 'Titanic', using stop-motion animation with hand-made models of the Titanic. At the age of twelve, he made a feature-length amateur film adaptation of 'Alice in Wonderland', in which he learned the basics of film language and special effects. As a grown-up, he studied feature film directing at FAMU - Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he made six successful short and medium-length films: 'Tatínek pod Stromek', 'The Next Stop', 'Svině', 'Další', 'Tatína' and 'Dotýkání'.
