Roberto Fernandez Canuto is a Spanish film director and screenwriter and is one of the first European directors to establish stable collaborations within the Chinese film industry. With co-director Xu Xiaoxi they have co-written and co-directed 'Sunken Plum' (2017), 'Advent' (2016), 'Floating Melon' (2015), 'Ni Jing: Thou Shalt Not Steal' (2013), and 'Desire Street (2011)'. 'Toto Forever' was shot in 16mm in California.
