ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Rafael Ruiz Espejo is a graduate in Audiovisual Arts from the University of Guadalajara, where he was a beneficiary of the Young Creators Program of the National Fund for Culture and Arts Mexico. Winner of Support for Short Film Production of IMCINE 2017 and the Promotion of Mexican Cinema FOCINE 2022 and 2023 for his debut feature. Nominated for best fiction short film at the 2022 Ariel Awards. Honorable mention for best Mexican fiction short film at the Morelia International Film Festival. "I’m not interested in educating anyone. My wish is to tell stories about sexual and gender diversity, without self-censorship. I make films so that the LGBTIQ+ community feel represented on screen, in all their brilliant moments but also in their contradictions."
